The Molcajete & Tortilla Basket is one of our favorite things we’ve made! The mortar and pestle are handmade from lava rock by artisans in Mexico. It’s the traditional tool for making guacamole and salsa fresca that you can blend and serve right out of the bowl! The inside of the bowl is textured for crushing whole spices into spice blends or rustic sauces. It comes in a traditional colorful palm frond handwoven basket that will keep tortillas warm at the table while you’re passing the food around. You can even line the basket with lettuce leaves to use as an all-purpose serving bowl!
